The engine that starts a fleet.

A fuel-burning linear generator — the Stoic engine — making clean electricity on board. That current drives electric wheel motors and an artificial electrogravitic well to build GRIP: a 1,000 km/h vehicle meant to be built in the real world, not just imagined on screen. It is rung one of a ladder from the ground to orbit and beyond.

The programme

One engine. One vehicle. One ladder to the stars.

Every part of the vision rests on solving the power problem on board, cleanly and at scale. Start there, and the rest becomes engineering rather than fantasy.

How it fits together

From a tank of fuel to a wall of force.

The engine never touches the wheels. It is a generator. Everything downstream runs on the same 800 V DC bus, which is exactly why the architecture scales so cleanly.

Fuel diesel · H₂ · NH₃ Stoic Engine free-piston generator up to 49.9% → DC 800 V DC bus + buffer battery rectify · smooth invert · route Wheel motors ×4 launch · torque vectoring regen braking Electrogravitic well thrust · downforce braking (reversed) regen →
Series-hybrid architecture. Generator-side and motor-side are fully decoupled by the DC bus — diesel-electric practice since the 1930s. FIG. 00 · POWER PATH

Why this is different

Science fiction, solved first.

Most screen technology is imagined, then hand-waved — warp cores and inertial dampers that no one can actually explain. This programme inverts the order: solve the engineering, then tell the story.

Because the hard problems — on-board power, propulsion, suspension at supersonic wheel tips — are being worked as real design, the fictional fleet inherits a spine of real numbers. The movie franchise is downstream of a buildable prototype, not the other way around.

Design discipline

Every power claim must satisfy P = F × v. Any subsystem claiming force at a speed must show the energy to back it. No free lunches enter the canon.

The ladder

Prototype on sand. Destination in orbit.

GRIP proves the power and propulsion stack at ground scale. The same stack — bigger battery, bigger well, eventually fusion instead of combustion — climbs to fighters, transports, capital ships, and homes beyond Earth.
